People with mental health impairments

This group includes every person whose mobility in transport is reduced due to mental health issues, also called cognitive impairments, such as Down syndrome. Such condition, be it temporary or permanent, influences how the person interacts with the physical or digital context. Depending on the severity of the impairment, the person may prefer to use transportation services in autonomy or with some kind of aid (a caregiving person or an assistive device). In both cases, a higher level of guidance and support is needed to provide these people with appropriate information and access to services according to their needs.

INDIMO will focus on identifying solutions to provide cognitive impaired people specific support, providing digital mobility and delivery services designed with a user-centred approach.
